Hamara Healthy Living Centre is an ethnic minority organisation that runs a wide range of groups and activities for different age groups. These include indoor and outdoor exercise classes, creative and social meet ups. You can find their current timetable of activities on their website.
The centre offers free healthy living activity groups for women and families, running throughout the week. Sessions include community gardening, active tennis, walkie talkie wellbeing walks in Cross Flatts Park, and Family Bubble space for families to bond (with a helping hand). All groups are aimed to help with physical and mental wellbeing, and reduce stress and anxiety.
Hamara runs their gardening project, for men aged 55 and over who live in the LS11, on Wednesdays from 10am at the Cockburn Sports Centre.
