Promoting acts of kindness amongst children and young adults, igniting a desire in them to make a positive impact in their communities.
Afrikindness believes that the spread of kindness will effectively battle the core causes of identity crises, bullying, mental health crises, and abuse in schools, in society, and around the world.
It aims to raise kindness ambassadors by helping children connect to their communities and inspire them to be kind, and be a kindness advocate through child-led projects and volunteering opportunities.
Afrikindness Parents supports teachers and parents to make impactful decisions during a child’s formative years. It addresses the complexities of parenting especially children of colour, with:
- webinars
- talk shows
- parent training programme
- parent neurodiversity training
- resources, blogs, and podcasts that delve into culture
- the Parent Connect App, for parents to share experiences and thrive together.
- online parent support groups, including a neurodiversity group.
It also runs a range of projects for children and young people, including learning about cultural and racial identity, support for learners transitioning to the U, and volunteer and community involvement programmes. Find information the Our Services page on their website.
