Walk it. Ride it. is a project focused on making it easier for people in the Burmantofts, Harehills, and Richmond Hill areas of Leeds to access walking, wheeling, and cycling opportunities.
Spending time outside and moving around can help improve our mood, lower stress, and make us feel more relaxed. So Walk it. Ride it. is working to:
- Make the local area cleaner and safer
- See where things such as parks, crossings, and playgrounds can be improved
- Create themed trails in Burmantofts, Harehills, and Richmond Hill – fun routes for people to walk, wheel, or jog, plus lots of places to rest and play along the way!
If you’re interested in walking more, Walk it. Ride it. has teamed up with local organisations to help make walking with others enjoyable for everyone. You can join short walks or longer walks, in the morning or afternoon. You can even bring a pushchair, wheelchair, or mobility scooter if you need to. All of the walking groups are free.
